An age-old concept of coquetry or flirting is a social behavior that humans used to attract a mate. Through our body language and chemistry, it gives the recipient a suggested interest in a deeper connection, or relationship with that person.
Most times, the act denotes sexual attraction, but sometimes the proposals show affection. It is motivating to think someone finds you beautiful or handsome and does not have to include sex, or an intimate relationship.
Simple characteristics will provide clues that someone is flirting with you, such as alterations in vocal tone, adoration, or affectionate advances. The attention might show self-assurance or playful humor. Flirting behavior varies among different cultures however we are all human, with the same DNA.
- I am beautiful, or handsome tell yourself every day
- I can accomplish anything I want
- My beauty is unique
- I am the only one in charge of my success
- I know my flaws and accept them
- I know my strengths and embrace them
Do you get the idea? Very simple, right…. At first, it may sound silly talking to yourself, but here is a scientific fact. Talking to yourself is the mind’s way of ordering ideas, concepts, and building creativity. Intelligent people talk to themselves. Look it up if you don’t believe me.
One other fact that is important if you are unhappy about the way you look; change it. You have to power to change anything you want. It all starts with a thought. The hard part is following through with the idea. So, in that case, begin small…. baby steps. Don’t be afraid to fail, it’s just another chance to get it right the next time. Think of failing as a dry rehearsal.
Do you think Michael Jordan got the star he is without practice? NO! So, if he can do it, so can you.
